Recommendation: Elana Beiser, Editorial Director at Committee to Protect Journalists
Kamal is a strong analyst of proposals and products and CPJ relied heavily on his judgement in choosing vendors for various Web and technology projects. He is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and delivered his work on deadline. He is also excellent at training other staff members on new technology: thorough, articulate, and patient. Our nonprofit is for, about, and made up of journalists, and even though Kamal is not a journalist himself, I always felt he was invested in advancing our mission.
